  • Demonstrate a fundamental understanding of common materials and techniques as related to product fabrication. These would include cutting, welding, sheet metal forming, machining & finishing. This also allows for reviewing different fabrication options that would increase productivity or reduce production costs.

The ability to develop accurate “methods of manufacturing” by entering specific manufacturing processes, materials, quantities and time required for each step of production.

  • Assemble, print and distribute fabrication drawing packages to the shop for production.

  • Check required materials, hardware and parts against current on hand inventory.

  • The ability to accurately prepare orders in a timely manner for any required commercial parts, hardware or raw materials for purchasing.

  • The ability to develop a production schedule and plan labor & equipment resources.

  • Identify any potential labor resource or manufacturing equipment workflow bottlenecks.

  • Follow job/project’s progress through production to assure that the schedule, quantity and deliverables match the order. If any issues are identified contact the appropriate resources for resolution.

  • Coordinate any specific crating, shipping requirements and scheduling with the shipping manager.
