VMware EMM - Windows 10 Expert in Sofia, Bulgaria

VMWare is expanding its End User Computing Device Services team in Sofia and is looking for an expert in Windows 10 deployment, scripting and automation.

Mаin Responsibilities:

This role is responsible for designing, validating, documenting, implementing and supporting complex Windows OS solutions while ensuring exceptional user experience.

  • You will be actively participating in the design and the execution of the world-wide migration project to Windows 10, which includes zero-touch deployment and automation

  • You will be planning the ongoing maintenance cycles and the future roadmap of the end-user devices

  • You will be using device management software (SCCM and Airwatch) to automate the deployment and further manage the endpoints

  • You will be interfacing Vmware’s R&D and Product groups to ensure full user adoption and to resolve any deployment & integration challenges on mobility and desktop & laptop segments

  • You will be working closely with Server, Network and IT Security teams to make sure the corporate fleet is compatible, connected and secure

  • You will be providing solutions and guidance to other teams within the end user services organization to better leverage the windows 10 OS platform features

Required experience:

  • Excellent knowledge of Windows client operating systems and at least 5 years’ experience in managing an enterprise desktop fleet;

  • Exceptional scripting skills in PowerShell and good knowledge of Python and VBS

  • Previous experience complex automation projects, with focus on seamless user experience and “zero-touch” deployments.

  • Good understanding of AD DS, group policies and Windows infrastructure services (DNS, WINS, DHCP, etc)

  • Hands on deployment and configuration experience with Windows 10, understanding in full the functional differences between Windows 10 vs. legacy operating systems

  • Fluency in software distribution and management systems with proven Device management software hands -on experience (SCCM, AirWatch…)

  • Excellent knowledge of SCCM with focus in image management and task sequencing, Windows Imaging & OS Deployment Customizations, WIM images, familiar with ImageX, Windows PE, WAIK & DISM tools

  • Strong technical troubleshooting skills (WMI, Error log analysis, crash dumps, application dumps)

  • You are strong communicator, ready to work with people from various levels and business units of the organization

  • You are open to new challenges and ready to explore uncharted territory

  • You bring any problem to resolution, irrespective of the potential obstacles on the way

  • You are willing to work with global teams in different time zones

Skills that will be considered a plus:

  • Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) Windows 10 or relevant experience.

  • Experience with Airwatch Device Management suite

  • Knowledge of SQL language for query and report development

  • Relevant industry standard certification
