VMware Enterprise Telecom Engineer in Sofia, Bulgaria
VMware is looking for an Enterprise Telecom Engineer. The role will be responsible for the Mobile Phone Carrier relationships and management of spend, features and contracts of the same. The qualified candidate will be part of VMWare End User Services growing Device Services team and will be working with some great minds of the End User Computing Division.
Enterprise Telecom Engineer will have global ownership of all corporate mobile lines of VMware and will work with our global Telecom Expense Management team. Other primary responsibilities will include, device rollout, inventory, billing, procurement process and lifecycle inventory responsibilities.
Own mobile wireless policy, acceptable usage policy guidelines, recommend changes
Assist in RFP and contract negotiations process when necessary
Educate users while traveling on ways to best lower their mobile bill, create KB articles as required
Make recommendations to mobile wireless contracts or internal policies where necessary
Distribution and process improvement of mobile devices to company employees
Monthly Top 20 Reporting for: Top 20 Roaming, Toll, Data, Premium Features & others
Monthly Analysis for all carriers and trending data such as # of users, Minutes, toll, roaming, equipment costs and cost per minute and others
Processing transfer of liabilities and port requests from other carriers
Processing defective devices for warranty replacement
Maintaining up to date inventory of devices and accurate records of devices distributed to employees
Monthly audit of bills from all carriers and proof for accuracy, call in as necessary to make changes, correct billing errors, add features, change rate plans, features, etc.
Knowledge of indoor antenna systems to enhance cellular reach a plus
Position Requirements, Skills and Abilities:
Strong customer service orientation
Strong understanding of mobile device operating systems (iOS, Android and Windows)
Self-motivated and directed, with the ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks under littler supervision; experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
Knowledge regarding emerging mobile technologies and security
Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently
Manage large-scale device deployments
Train end users and support teams on device technology
Consult with business unit systems groups on their mobile strategy and contributing to creating solutions for their mobile needs
Ability to develop and organize written documentation and procedures
Understanding of project governance, compliance, audit, and risk management principles
Ability to work well in team environments
