VMware Intern - IT in Sofia, Bulgaria

Desired knowledge and Abilities
• Student Bachelors or Master degree in Information System Management, Informatics or related field
• Knowledge of distributed networks, related hardware and software components
• Knowledge in TCP/IP model, as well as routing and switching protocols
• Knowledge of Cisco routing and switching platforms
• CCNA or equivalent knowledge
• Ability to find problems and understand various sides
• Very good knowledge of English language (both verbal and written)
• Ability to communicate effectively
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
Train on the job to develop relevant knowledge and skills through diligently performing on:
o Installing network hardware including Cisco, Extreme, Juniper, Big IP, Silverpeak and other vendors
o Basic debugging and resolving network related problems in dynamic environment.
o Understanding routing, switching, TCP/IP, load balancing and web hosting technologies
o Performing research on new technologies and practices that would be applicable to the VMware environment
o Communicating effectively with customers with a wide range of technical knowledge
o Tracking and reporting progress of assigned and owned tasks
o Working in efficient and productive manner, following defined deadlines
