Vectrus Sr. Information Assurance Specialist in Bulgaria
Responsiblefor the management and daily operation of all Information Assurance support,guidance, and compliance for U.S. Army classified and unclassified Local AreaNetworks.
MAJOR JOB ACTIVITIES:
Develop,maintain, and enforce Information Assurance security policies and trainingprograms for information systems users. Provides support to local System Administrators and computer systemsusers in the areas of Information Assurance policy and guidance.
Perform,manage and maintains a local vulnerability assessment and management program insupport of Customer reporting, compliance, and verification policies. Processand report security violations and incidents in accordance with USAREUR theaterpolicies. Assists in the gathering and preservation of evidence used in theprosecution of computer crimes.
Performand maintain RMF Accreditations for the Local Area Network and InformationSystems. Perform periodic security inspections, and assessments. Reviews ofinformation systems and networks to ensure Information Assurance compliance,and reflects current certification and accreditation packets.
Will employ scanning tools such as Nessus, SCCM, Flying Squirreletc, to scan and detect system and network vulnerabilities/deficiencies, aspart of a proactive network security policy. Utilize skills to determine ifrequisite cyber security patches and remediation procedures are applied inaccordance with IAVA requirements. Performs or directs mitigation strategiessuch as patching, baselines and configurations of systems and network equipment.
Maintaindocumentation for Active Directory account requests as well as training andcertification records for Active Directory users as part of the InformationAssurance awareness training. Perform vulnerability testing of Microsoft Windows based serversand workstations using approved software and ensures the installationappropriate patches and hot fixes in accordance with regulations.
Assists in the configuration and troubleshooting of Cisco routersand switches in an Enterprise environment. Assists in the troubleshooting ofCisco VoIP telephone systems; and must be familiar with Cisco Call Managerfunctions. Assists in the configuration and troubleshooting of multipointTACLANE encryption networks and devices. (KG-175 series) Must be able to assistHelp Desk personnel in the troubleshooting of customer issues. Must be familiarwith COMSEC handling procedures as detailed in TB 380-41, and associated Armyregulations.
Performsother duties and assignments as required.

Officeenvironment in a forward deployed location. Work environment will also be very hot due toconditions within the region. Personnelwill also be required to sit and talk on the phone for long periods of time.
Education/Certifications : Oneyear related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degreeis required.
High school diploma or equivalent. Graduate of military or technical courses in the field of InformationTechnology.
Candidates MUST be currently qualified under AR 25-2 and DoDInstruction 8750 for elevated privileges on DoD/Army Networks. A current ISC2CISSP or CompTIA CASP(CE ) certificate that has been obtained in the last 24months, is required. A certification as a Microsoft Certified Professional(MCP) or equivalent is required, as well as a working knowledge of MicrosoftOffice 2007/2010 software. CompTIA Network and/or Cisco CCNA is desired. Certifications are subject to submission for validationbefore an interview.
Musthave or be able to obtain a valid stateside/international driver’s license.
3 years’ experience in Military Information Assurance; themanaging of a DIACAP (of any service) is desired. 3 additional years ofexperience in a high traffic help desk management and operational environmentis also desired. Musthave previous work experience in a military environment as well as be familiarwith DOD systems security, guidelines, and regulations.
