Business Operations Specialist

The Business Operations Specialist in Shared Services Center supports the GSD organization to meet its KPIs by providing advanced reports, data analysis and by participating in improvement initiatives. Develops expertise and practical knowledge of applications within business environment.
Generates, maintains and distributes reports, scorecards, KPIs, etc. in different formats e.g. Excel, PowerPoint, Access etc.
Provides analysis of operations’ trends and generates advanced root cause analysis in case of performance not meeting the targets
Supports quality improvement projects aiming at improving operational excellence and cost efficiency
Designs and develops advanced reporting, analytical solutions and tools based on Excel, MS SharePoint etc.
Gives recommendations based on analyzed data on how to progress, optimize or evolve internal business processes
Collaborates closely with business process owners/ leads/ managers on WW, EMEA, GEO level, etc. to define requirements for reporting and analysis
Employs very good technical knowledge in database design to optimize reporting and analysis
Provides advanced data quality control
Supports process standardization and documentation
Maintains and facilitates an Operational Excellence Framework of respective country/geography
HPE procedures/policies are strictly followed
Labor legislation is strictly adhered
Reporting is provided according to deadlines
Improvement recommendations are addressed on time and to right audience
Corrective actions are driven accordingly to defined timelines
Trends in KPI’s are clearly defined and presented
Education (degree) and professional experience required:
Bachelor degree or equivalent
At least 1,5 years in support role or in similar roles/businesses
Experience in operational excellence and customer satisfaction analysis is a plus
Participating in improvement projects or leading optimization initiatives
Fluent in verbal and written English
Second foreign language is an advantage
Personal skills and qualities:
Detail oriented person – ability to check the accuracy of large amounts of data
Ability to work with multiple priorities – multi-tasking
Excellent organization skills and experience to work with tight deadlines
Strong analytical skills
Proactive and result driven attitude
Excellent communication skills
Good presentation skills
Exercises independent judgment within defined parameters
Ability to operate effectively within a virtual (cross-cultural) environment
Technical skills (procedures and documents the employee has to be acquainted with):
MS Office Advanced (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Macro creation and VBA skills
MS SharePoint skills
MS Access and MS Visio skills is an advantage
SQL programming skills is an advantage
ITIL v3 Foundations is an advantage
