VMware Finance Analyst in Sofia, Bulgaria

Responsibilities:

  • Support the Global Customer Operations group through the OpEx planning and forecasting processes

  • Drive the monthly forecast and close/reconciliation processes

  • Review OpEx budget status and drive decision-making for respective groups during weekly or monthly meetings with the group VPs

  • Review and approve expenses in procurement system as well as headcount requisitions

  • Produce monthly expense reports

  • Track bookings or revenue KPIs and provide ad-hoc reporting support and build models as needed

  • Drive steady improvements to and automation of current processes and new data sets with a focus to drive innovative analyses and operating efficiencies

  • Provide timely and reliable support to Sales FP&A leads in detailed researching of variances by understanding GL and transactional level details

  • Provide ad-hoc support to Sales FP&A leads

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting; a MBA or CA is preferred

  • At least 3-5 years of experience in finance/accounting with an emphasis on financial analysis techniques with or on behalf of large companies

  • Prior experience with financial planning and analysis and interfacing with/supporting business teams

  • Great attention to detail and focus on producing a high quality product

  • Expertise in building financial and decision support models

  • Strength in researching, understanding, and succinctly explaining complex transactions and business impact

  • Capable of independently managing multiple tasks in a highly deadline-driven environment with a high level of precision

  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, SAP, and FP&A software tools

  • Strong initiative and desire to work in a team-oriented environment

  • Ability to work in a remote environment
