The role of the Finance Manager is to lead a regional team of finance professionals in a Centre of Excellence (CoE)in Bulgaria.

The primary objective of the role holder is to provide the regions with support across management and general accounting, financial analysis, reporting, forecasting and conversion of data into management information. The Centre exists to establish and sustain strong relationships with the Finance community and other parts of the regional business.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead a regional team of finance professionals within the Sofia’s Finance Centre of Excellence

  • Responsibility for the financial accounting and regulatory compliance for the legal entities within the region with a strong focus on ensuring an effective internal control and governance framework is in place.

  • Works very closely with the regional country Finance Directors, regional and central FP&A and Business Partnering teams as well as the Shared Service Centre.

  • Support the co-ordination and delivery of the budget process for the region

  • Responsibility for ensuring month close and forecast is performed by the team accurately, effectively, to agreed timescales and in line with regional policies

  • Implement and maintain tight financial controls and data quality

  • Be the first point of stakeholder contact

  • Support the CoE Head of Finance in Finance 2020 programmes of change

  • Support in the identification and analysis of financial risk and opportunity

  • Continue with business process improvements and re-engineering to drive efficiency and add value to the business

  • Keep the Sofia CoE team updated on regional initiatives, product development, and off-shoring project planning

Knowledge, Experience & Qualifications

The successful candidate will have:

  • Finance Manager with a strong level of accounting and commercial experience gained in an international or global business in a complex, matrix environment

  • At least 5 year post education experiencein Finance orAccounting and no less than 2 years of experience in a managerial role, leading people and processes

  • Master’s Degree in accounting or finance

  • Proven achievement in the building and growth of diverse teams in a finance function

  • Awareness of business planning techniques and tools – needed to lead the building of strategic plans, annual budgets and regular forecasting

  • Good communication skills with the ability to stakeholder manage across diverse groups and across different countries

  • Good relationship building skills and ability to create partnerships with stakeholders and teams.

  • Team player

  • ACCA/CIMA certification will be considered as advantage

  • Excellent English, spoken and written, is compulsory
